An utterly remarkable moment in baseball history when the New York Yankees were faced off against the Brooklyn Dodgers in Game 5 of the World Series. What happened in that game truly went down in baseball history as one of the greatest pitching performanceS of all time. How Don Larsen, the New York Yankee’s starting pitcher threw a perfect game, becoming the only pitcher to accomplish this feat in World Series history.

I do remember hearing about Don when I was a kid. It was always discussed as a legendary moment.

It’s hard to overstate the significance of Larsen’s performance. To throw a perfect game in the world series, when the stakes were so high it is indeed an incredible achievement. 🤩 🤩

It wasn’t just how he pitched a perfect game, it’s how he did it. He faced 27 batters and retired them all without allowing a single hit or walk.

Will never happen again. The way the team of today uses their pitchers, they are pulled way too early now.
