Yeah and let's not forget about the impact it had on scoring. Without the shot clock, teams would often score less than 50 points per game. Now, it's not uncommon for teams to score well over 100 points in a single game.

I think it's safe to say that the shot clock has had a huge impact on the game of basketball, and I can't imagine the sport without it. 😭

It just goes to show how even the smallest rule changes can have a huge impact on a sport. The shot clock changed the game of basketball forever, and it's now an integral part of the sport that we all know and love.
