C-USA School History

The Conference USA (C-USA) is a collegiate athletic conference that has existed since the mid-1990s. It was formed when several smaller conferences merged and now includes 14 teams across the United States. The conference is known for its competitive sports programs and strong academic standards, making it an attractive option for student-athletes pursuing higher education while still competing in their favorite sport at a high level.

Regarding C-USA school history, some notable schools have had success over the years. One of these schools is Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, which won four consecutive C-USA football championships between 1998 and 2001 under head coach Tommy Bowden. Another impressive school with excellent athletics program records in C-USA history is Southern Miss University, located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, which holds five basketball tournament titles and two baseball championship trophies since joining the league in the 1997/1998 season.

For those who may not be familiar with all of C– USA’s members or their histories, here's a quick overview: East Carolina University, located in Greenville, North Carolina, joined Conference USA back 1995/1996 season they won one bowl game title along with six regular season titles; Marshall university based out Huntington West Virginia joined shortly after ECU during 1996/1997 term holding three bowl games wins among other accomplishments; Rice university based Houston Texas also entered 1996/1997 year bringing nine total bowls victories plus seven regular seasons crowns; Charlotte 49ers were added 1999 winning two divisional championships within last decade; UAB blazers jumped aboard 2000 claiming one divisional title alongside four bowls wins. Finally, Old Dominion Monarchs entered the fold in 2013 yet already managed to claim a couple of division crowns plus a single Bowl win.

The fourteen current member institutions make up what many consider to be one of most competitive college athletic conferences in the nation today due to the wide variety of successful programs amongst them, each having a unique historical story told throughout course time!
