2022 - Syracuse Wins on Soccer’s Biggest Stage

The Syracuse Orange completed a memorable postseason run to win the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship, earning the program’s second national title. Syracuse navigated a demanding tournament path with disciplined defense and timely scoring, eliminating Penn State, Vermont, and Creighton to reach the College Cup final. In the championship match, the Orange delivered a composed performance defeating the Indiana Hoosiers 7-6 in a penalty-kick shootout following a 2-2 draw, controlling the match from start to finish.
