The Atlantic 10 Athletic Conference has built a proud reputation for excellence since its founding in 1975. Comprising a diverse group of 14 respected universities, the conference represents some of the most competitive programs in Division I athletics. The University of Dayton Flyers were among the four original charter members of the Atlantic 10 Athletic Conference in 1975, alongside George Washington University, St. Joseph’s Hawks, and La Salle Explorers. Massachusetts Minutemen joined soon after and became a powerhouse in men’s and women’s basketball.
