The LSU Tigers have done it! After a long and hard-fought season, the LSU Tigers have been crowned the 2023 NCAA Champions in Baseball. This is an incredible accomplishment for this team, who faced adversity all year but never gave up on their dreams of becoming National Champions.
This was no easy feat for the Tigers as they had to overcome formidable opponents throughout their journey to victory. They started strong with a win against Texas A&M in game one of the College World Series. They continued that momentum through games two and three with wins over Vanderbilt University and Florida State University, respectively. But it wasn’t until game four that they finally sealed their fate by defeating Oregon State 7-3 in 10 innings to become National Champions!
This championship proved that these players could overcome any obstacle and showcased just how talented each player was throughout this process. From pitchers like Zack Hess, who threw seven strikeouts during his start against Oregon State, or infielder Josh Smith whose defensive skills kept opposing teams from scoring runs, every single player played an integral part in making sure that these Tigers would be crowned champions at season’s end.
This is a monumental moment for Louisiana sports fans everywhere and college baseball, showing everyone what can happen when you stay determined despite any odds stacked against you! Congratulations again to our beloved LSU Tigers on winning your first national title since 2009 – we are so proud here at home!!
