Doc Rivers is one of the most accomplished coaches of the modern NBA era. He began his NBA coaching career with the Orlando Magic in 1999 and later coached the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks. Rivers led the Celtics to the 2008 NBA championship and was named NBA Coach of the Year in 2000.
He also became one of the few coaches to lead four different franchises to the NBA playoffs and has ranked among the NBA's winningest coaches. Rivers finished his coaching career with 1,194 regular-season victories, sixth-most in NBA history at the time of his Hall of Fame induction, and 114 playoff wins.
He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2026 as a coach.
