Luke Kuechly is one of the most instinctive, intelligent, and dominant middle linebackers in NFL history. Drafted ninth overall in the 2012 NFL Draft out of Boston College, Kuechly spent his entire eight-season career with the Carolina Panthers (2012–2019). Drafted ninth overall in 2012, he immediately made an impact by leading the league in tackles and winning AP Defensive Rookie of the Year. In 2013, Kuechly won AP Defensive Player of the Year, earned First-Team All-Pro honors, and made his first of seven straight Pro Bowls.
His ability to read plays, stop the run, cover receivers, and create turnovers made him one of the league’s most complete linebackers. Kuechly recorded more than 100 tackles in every NFL season and finished with 1,092 tackles, 18 interceptions, 12.5 sacks, and 66 passes defensed. He was also named to the NFL All-Decade Team of the 2010s. Kuechly retired after the 2019 season and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2026.
