In 2014: The men’s basketball team reaches the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive year, becoming the first team in NCAA history to start the season 35–0. They win the MVC regular season and tournament titles and earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. They defeat Cal Poly and Kentucky before losing to Kentucky in the round of 32. They finish with a 35–1 record, setting another school record for wins in a season.
