2025 - Gamblers Comeback- Revived for 2026 UFL

Houston Gamblers were one of eight teams that were officially announced as a USFL franchise on The Herd with Colin Cowherd on November 22, 2021. The Houston Gamblers name is being revived for the 2026 UFL season, replacing the Houston Roughnecks coinciding with a move to Shell Energy Stadium in Downtown Houston leaving their previous site behind. The color scheme was updated to Gamblers red and black. The league is also restructuring: 2026 will use an eight-team single-league format, new team uniforms and no separate conferences. The league is shifting away from large stadiums—aiming for more compact, soccer-style venues.
