The West Georgia Wolves men’s basketball team competes in the Division I Atlantic Sun Conference. Due to the NCAA’s policy on reclassifying programs, the Wolves will not be eligible to compete in the NCAA tournament or the NIT until the 2028–29 season. The Wolves appeared in the NCAA Division II tournament twenty times most recently in 2024. Among those they seeded Sweet Sixteen four times and Elite Eight one time in 2002.
