2000 - Summit League Champs Three Times

The Penguins have made the NCAA Tournament three times (all coinciding with their Summit League tournament titles) in 1996, 1998 & 2000. Of the three, they have one postseason win, in 1998. As a 12 seed, they upset Memphis 91–80. The 1998 team finished with a 28-3 record and beat Memphis in the opening round of the NCAA tournament for the program’s first postseason victory.
