2013 - The Central Arkansas Bears women’s soccer team wins the Southland Conference championship

In 2013, the Central Arkansas Bears women’s soccer team won the Southland Conference championship. The team finished the regular season with a 9-1-1 conference record, which earned them the conference title and a spot in the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Tournament.

In the first round of the NCAA tournament, the Bears faced off against the University of Oklahoma Sooners, losing the game 1-0. Despite the loss, the team finished the season with an overall record of 14-6-1, which was the best record in program history at the time.

The Southland Conference championship was the first in program history for the Central Arkansas Bears women’s soccer team. The team was led by head coach Jeremy Bishop, who was named the Southland Conference Coach of the Year for his efforts in guiding the team to their championship season.
