1999 - Women’s Victories

The Northeastern Huskies women’s basketball team competes in the Coastal Athletic Association. Northeastern began play in 1966. They formerly played in the America East Conference (formerly known as the Seaboard Conference) until 2005. They participated in seven of the first 15 America East Conference women’s basketball tournament finals, winning four of them, though only the last one resulted in an NCAA bid. Out of four conference championships achievement, three with the Seaboard Conference in 1985, 1986, 1987 and one with America East in 1999. The Huskies appeared in the NCAA tournament in 1999 as a #13 seed.
