Bob Pettit Hall of Fame NBA

Bob Pettit was one of the NBA's first dominant power forwards and among the league's greatest players of the 1950s and early 1960s. A consistent scorer and rebounder, he combined outstanding athleticism with a relentless work ethic that made him a matchup problem every night.

Pettit spent his entire 11-season career with the Milwaukee and St. Louis Hawks, leading the franchise to its only NBA championship in 1958, when the Hawks defeated the Boston Celtics. He became the first player in NBA history to score more than 20,000 career points and was the league's first two-time Most Valuable Player.

His remarkable consistency earned him All-NBA First Team honors every season of his career. Bob Pettit's lasting impact on professional basketball was recognized with induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1971.
