Micky Arison is a prominent sports executive who has played a central role in building the Miami Heat into one of the NBA’s most successful franchises. He became the Heat’s Managing General Partner in 1995 and has overseen the organization through three NBA championships in 2006, 2012, and 2013, seven NBA Finals appearances, seven Eastern Conference championships, and 23 postseason appearances.
Arison also served as Chairman of the NBA Board of Governors from 2005 to 2008, providing leadership at the league level. Under his ownership, the Heat established remarkable organizational stability, including employing only three head coaches over his first 29 years of stewardship. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2025 as a Contributor/Executive.
