Paul Endacott was one of the finest amateur basketball players of the 1920s and an important figure in the sport's early history. A standout guard at the University of Kansas under legendary coach Phog Allen, he led the Jayhawks to national prominence with his leadership, passing, and scoring ability. After college, Endacott starred in Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball with Phillips 66, where he continued to build his reputation as one of the nation's top players.
Although he did not play in the NBA, which was founded after his playing career, his accomplishments helped shape the development of American basketball. His intelligent play, sportsmanship, and consistency made him a respected leader on every team he represented. In recognition of his outstanding playing career and lasting impact on the game, Paul Endacott was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1972.
