2002 - Ibrahim Jaaber played for the Penn Quakers basketball

Ibrahim Jaaber played for the Penn Quakers basketball team from 2002 to 2007. During his time at Penn, he was a standout player and earned numerous accolades, including:

  • Three-time Ivy League Player of the Year (2004, 2006, 2007)
  • Four-time First-Team All-Ivy League selection (2004-2007)
  • Two-time Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year (2006, 2007)
  • 2006 National Association of Basketball Coaches Defensive Player of the Year
  • Named to the 2007 All-District First Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches

Jaaber was also a key member of two Ivy League championship teams at Penn, in 2004 and 2006. He was known for his tenacious defense and his ability to score in a variety of ways. In addition to being Penn’s all-time leader in steals, Jaaber is also in the top 10 in school history in scoring and assists.

After his college career, Jaaber had a brief professional career overseas, playing in Israel and France. He later became a coach and has worked with various basketball programs and camps, including the Philadelphia 76ers Youth Basketball Camp.
