1990 - Idaho State Bengals men’s basketball team wins the Big Sky Conference championship.

In the 1990 season, the Idaho State Bengals men’s basketball team won the Big Sky Conference championship. Led by head coach Herb Williams and star player Lawrence Butler, the team finished the season with a 25-5 overall record and a perfect 16-0 conference record. They advanced to the NCAA Tournament but lost in the first round to the University of Michigan. This was the first conference championship for the Bengals since joining the Big Sky Conference in 1963.
