1956 - Montana State Bobcats men’s basketball team wins the Skyline Conference championship

In the 1955-56 season, the Montana State Bobcats men’s basketball team finished with a record of 22-4 and won the Skyline Conference championship. The team was led by head coach Roger Craft and senior guard Joe Holman, who was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Year. Montana State advanced to the NCAA Tournament, where they lost to Santa Clara in the first round.
