What a great account of the Brooklyn Dodgers in the documentary called “Brooklyn Dodgers Ghosts Of Flatbush”. Throughly enjoyed the complete history of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Growing up on the west coast and not knowing why the Brooklyn Dodgers moved to Los Angeles, this documentary tells you everything that went on up to the move to LA. Highly recommend watching and learning about the Dodgers in “Brooklyn Dodgers Ghosts Of Flatbush.”
Baseball Road Trip
Well growing up in the 70’s and I have always wanting to go on a stadium road trip. Reading an article from the LA Times about a person who had traveled to several cities to see as many baseball games as possible. This was a west coast start in Los Angeles and finishing in St. Louis. They were able to see the Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Giants, A’s, Rangers, Astros, Royals and the Cardinals. I was envious. I was wishing. I was wanting. How could I do this on a shoe string budget. Well it never happened, but I sure live through this article the daily activities of the writer and was captivated.
I doing some other research I have stumbled on a website that can make any person’s dream of a baseball road trip a reality. The site is called Baseball-RoadTrip.com. How cool is that.
Possible New Stadium in LA?
Today, Friday January 31 the NFL has announced that Stan Kroenke owner of the St. Louis Rams has purchased 60 acres in Ingelwood, California. This purchase is near the recently renovated Forum and the Hollywood Park racetrack located in city Ingelwood. The NFL is quick to point out that this does not mean that Mr. Kroenke will be building a stadium in the near future or are the St. Louis Rams moving back to Los Angeles. But it does beg the question of what might Mr. Kroenke be thinking with all this land he has acquired, is it an investment or is he starting the wheels in motion for a possible relocate?
