The history of the Runnin' Bulldogs dates back to 1905, when the school was founded as Boiling Springs High School. Over the years, the team has evolved and grown, changing its name multiple times before finally becoming the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs in 1970. Since then, the team has made a name for themselves in various sports, including basketball, football, and baseball. They have produced many talented players who have gone on to play professionally, making the Runnin' Bulldogs a true powerhouse in college sports.
One of the most remarkable moments in the history of the Runnin' Bulldogs was in 2019 when the men's basketball team made it to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history.
